Not sure what to do first when it comes to ordering invitations? This handy checklist should help. First make sure that you have set and reserved the time, date and location for the wedding. Then follow this ideal time frame to order and process your invitations prior to your wedding:
6 Months or more before the wedding: Start looking for invitations. Begin compiling your guest lists and collecting addresses.
4 Months before the wedding, order your invitations. Make sure your spelling is correct. Have someone else proof read them for you. Know to whom your response cards are being returned to, and have the correct return address and zip code, as well as the event time. If using a calligrapher or other people to help address your invitations, order an additional 10 to 15% outer envelopes.
3 Months before the wedding: Start addressing invitations, doing a few at a time so your handwriting stays neat. Hire a calligrapher if you are going to do so. Click below for more and visit the online invitation store provided at the end of this newsletter for great invitation options!
2 Months Recheck guest list to make sure you have not forgotten anyone.
